Dreams are the source of euphoria when realised by open eyes. Everyone dreams of something. Be it a new Rolls Royce or a new house, a new job or a new company, humans are full of dreams. And… Dreaming is the best thing we can do because when we dream, we think of a better world and work hard towards making that dream true. But as we grow up, our responsibilities catch up to us and steal the belief in our dreams.
Many a time, we are told that going out of the box is impossible and to do it, we need to be something extraordinary. But it isn’t true. Dreams and lives are always simple and we are the ones complicating them. Life is easy, our perception makes all the difference.
To prove my statement, I would like to tell you about the person who achieved it all just by “doing” it. No rocket science, no big contracts… just a plain ordinary guy achieving his dreams.
In Anything You Want, Sivers details his journey and the lessons learned along the way of creating CD Baby. In Anything You Want, Sivers details his journey and the lessons learned along the way of creating CD Baby and building a business close to his heart.
It is one of the most amazing books I have read. It is simple, direct and honest. Derek doesn’t hide any of his best shots and neither does he brag about his extra-ordinary skills. He calls himself a simple guy and without any superpowers, he conquers the world.
IT IS A MUST READ.
AND YOU WILL LOVE ME FOR SUGGESTING IT TO YOU.
The book is written in the first-person view by Derek and feels as if he is here telling you his life story personally.
This book tells you how Derek made his company CD baby from scratch and then later sold it. It is a must-read for any dreamer and an entrepreneur, it is like a holy guide. It will boost your morale and self-confidence.
The book starts with Derek’s solution to his problem and a will to do things his own way. He didn’t find a solution to his problem so he created it and ended up finding people with similar problems and helped those who needed it.
It was quite honest and ironical when he said, he didn’t want his business to grow so much. Funny but honest at the same time.
I can go on and on about how Derek simply lived his dream but that would ruin the book. So ending it up here, crisp and short… Do read this book and tell me in comments how did you find it.
